Nap before going out for New Years
We found these fountains right after our first Italian pizza experience
People dancing on walls?
I think we were somewhere near the spanish step here.
There were tons of people all around downtown. People threw firecrackers
around at people, behind them and on cars. The ones hitting cars sometimes
set off the car alarms.
Metro New Year's Eve
Look at this little car we saw on the walk from the Metro to the Hotel
We were told the metro was closed till 4PM.
Porta Maggiore
We saw these things as we walked toward the Patheon,
which was closed just like everything else on New Years Day
We also walked passed the Colosseum(suprised no pics of it)
This place look a lot cooler at night
Walk back to the metro at the Colleseum
I drank out of the fountain
This Museum was great. There are only a few pictures
because we were yelled at for taking them.
This museum had mummies and a bunch of artifacts
It would of been better had we gotten the audio guide
because most of the information on stuff was in Italian.
Rick Loves Castels, more pictures of this one to come
Here we got the audio guide which is a little
box that you punch in the number of the location
you are at and it tells you about it. Well worth
the money. They had a suggested 4 hours tour
the we did in about 3 hours.
Line waiting to take elevator
All the girls were pointy shoes
We roomed with a Canadian and someone from Lake Tahoe
Paolo couldn't find a parking spot so we had about an
hour while waited for him to find a spot further away and
meet us to show us around for the day. Anyways here are some
candid camera shots.
We had lunch with Paolo, Guila, his sister in law, and two boys.
The keyhole shows a really nice view of St. Peter's from the south
